Food was great and we had different entrees. Molly the server had good recommendations. Great maple cream brûlée. We had 2 innkeepers recommend and understand why.

Tonight we ate nachos with chili. Really good. Chili was flavorful. Also tried the BBQ bacon chicken pizza. All I can say is wow!!!

If you blink, you’ll miss it, but that’s half the charm. Once you grab a seat, order a drink, and take a bite of the pizza, you’ll wonder why you ever went anywhere else. The bar itself is no-frills: dim lighting, and locals who look like they’ve been coming here for decades. But the pizza? Absolute magic. Crispy, slightly charred crust, just the right amount of cheese, and toppings that taste way fresher than you’d expect from a place where the beer is cheaper than water. It’s the kind of spot you almost don’t want to tell anyone about, but the pizza deserves the spotlight. If you’re into character, cold drinks, and food that blows expectations out of the water, this hole-in-the-wall might just be your new favorite place.

Our first time here, we asked the bartender / waitress a couple questions about the menu we decided on homemade Cheeseburger pizza & 2 cocktails. The pizza was outstanding one of the best pizzas I've ever had nice crust crispy on the bottom.

I don't think "a hidden gem" would be a term I would use, as the locals seem to love this place. I can say this, though, being an outer towner. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff now how to be warm, gracious and attentive, the FOOD is amazing and the drinks made just right. I had a chat with the owner, he was wonderful, his daughter kind, and the staff all had positive attitudes. I will drive back from Rhode Island again to hang here. Thank you so much for such a great meal and time. The ONLY problem I had hit one number on Keno! I have since been back 4 times, the food the staff and the customers are AMAZING! No cell phones, everyone talking to each other. The atmosphere is like it was in the old days. People, just hanging out and having a laugh and great conversation ! With all that said, I had the best TUNA MELT I EVER HAD!!!!!!

Great spot to stop in and pick up food to take home. I work nearby but live 35 minutes away. The pizza is always a hit at home. Servers are friendly and accommodating.

Outstanding tavern in Sterling. If you're out and about and want good food, a fun atmosphere, and you don't want to break the bank, Black Sheep Tavern is your destination. The bar has 20 seats and 5 tvs, and there are plenty of tables to seat your family or your team. Enjoy some Keno. Big parking lot.
